We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and stuffed their faces with gourmet homemade food. Last week TNDC had our annual Friendsgiving celebration. Friendsgiving gives us the opportunity to show off our cooking skills to our friends and loved ones. Everyone was responsible for bringing a couple dishes to ensure we had a complete meal. Randy and his fiance brought a beautifully moist turkey. Port and his fiancé roasted brussel sprouts and made a decadent sweet potato casserole. Baron brought his world famous stuffing. Lois brought a pie, it was delicious. Ray cooked up a green bean casserole. Donut, in vegetarian tradition, whipped up creamed spinach and cranberry sauce. Chanukah brought yummy pumpkin blondies and chocolate chip cookies. I cooked my mom’s famous cornbread casserole dish.
This meal is always one that involves over eating, laughing, drinking and maybe some tears being shed. We all have a lot to be thankful for and looking forward to what is sure to be an awesome 2019. Everyone went around the table to say what they were thankful for and we are all lucky to have such awesome friends. TNDC may have slacked towards the end of this year but sometimes life can get in they way. As long as we stay close and do our best to cook amazing homemade dishes, that is all we can ask for.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed the time with their families and days off from work. We look forward to many more amazing TNDC meals. Until next time…
